Last week, the ministry committee of the Association of Baptist Churches organized a retreat for the pastors of its member churches. We see the hard work that the pastors put in as they carry out the ministry they do. We are aware of the challenges our pastors face, and we wanted to give them a short break to be ministered to, and to encourage them to continue doing the ministry they are doing. It was a wonderful time of fellowship and pray together. And we had the chance to discuss certain topics and challenges that our churches are facing today. The theme was “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Heb. 12:2). We had two speakers who focused on encouraging the pastors and their wives in their ministry. In addition to resting and being encouraged, we planned a few visits to Biblical locations in the surroundings of Jerusalem. It was truly a wonderful time of fellowship, and we look forward to future retreats.
