The third and final regional youth gathering for the Baptist churches in 2025 was held at the Local Baptist Church in Nazareth on Saturday, November 8, 2025, with the participation of about 130 young men and women from various churches and towns.
The theme of the gathering was:
“He must increase, but I must decrease.”
(John 3:30)
The program began with a word of welcome and prayer by Pastor Azar Ajaj, followed by a time of worship and praise led by the church’s youth team. The atmosphere was heavenly, filled with the presence of the Lord and hearts overflowing with joy and gratitude.
Later, Brother Zahi Shlufeh, the church’s youth ministry leader, shared an encouraging message based on the verse “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
He explained that the goal of our lives is to reflect the image of Jesus, fulfilling God’s purpose in us so that His plan may bear fruit.
He encouraged the youth to let God’s love be their motivation, leading to a better life, mature character, and eternal glory.
He also emphasized a practical application of this teaching — to live out true love as Christ commanded:
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
And to put off the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light, walking properly as in the day:
“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”
After the message, participants engaged in a fun group activity, sitting in mixed teams from different churches around color-coded tables.
The activity was a Bible-based interactive game built around Scripture verses and biblical characters, designed to strengthen biblical knowledge and foster cooperation and fellowship among the youth in an enjoyable and meaningful way.
The hall was filled with laughter, joy, and connection, creating a beautiful sense of unity in Christ.
To conclude the gathering, everyone shared a special fellowship meal, reflecting the beauty of Christian communion and the spirit of one family in the Lord.
This gathering was truly a blessed milestone in the youth ministry, bringing together worship, teaching, joy, and fellowship, and leaving in the hearts of all a lasting spiritual imprint and encouragement to walk with Christ in growth and steadfastness.
