The Association of Baptist Churches in Israel held a regional youth gathering at the Baptist church in Haifa on Wednesday 3rd of July 2013. About 50 young people attended the gathering as they came from several cities and villages from the northern parts of the country.
Majd Shoufani ‘ Youth Coordinator of Association of Baptist Churches’ welcomed everyone and joined with Rula Najjar did some ice breakings activities to get everyone to take part in these group games. Afterwards, there was a time of praise and worship led by Haifa’s Baptist Church praise and worship team.
Pastor Andrawos Abu Ghazalah shared from the Word of God as he spoke from Luke 2: 38. He focused on the life of Jesus during the first thirty years of his life. He talked about three great steps that lead to great results in the life of the believer. These steps are: 1. Dedicating one’s life to the Lord which leads to spiritual growth 2. A strong and close relationship with the Lord. 3. Submitting to authorities.
At the end of the meeting, the attendees sang one song then pastor Andrawos prayed for the youth, so that they would take on board these three steps. Everyone enjoyed refreshments afterwards.
Majd Shoufani extended on behalf of the Association of Baptist Churches his gratitude to the Baptist church in Haifa for welcoming the youth in their place.
